300 years of the Škofja Loka Passion Play

The international association Europassion includes places, cities and groups that are involved in the tradition of staging passions and other activities related to passion themes. It unites over 90 passion groups coming from 15 European countries. Among them, Austria, France, Italy and Germany stand out with more than ten places of passion.
In 2021, the regular annual congress of the Europassion association will take place in Škofja Loka.
European network for the celebration of Holy Week and Easter
The association wants to expand its activity to the whole of Europe and thus form an international cultural association of all those who celebrate the Passion and the Resurrection of Christ. The newly formed association also represents an exceptional opportunity for Škofja Loka, as it is an important cultural and touristic product that will come to life with the support of the Council of Europe and will bring us better recognition in the European area.
